Upset with VS, Chennai Keralites boycott function

In a bid to appease some Malayalees in Chennai upset over plans to build a guest house with star facilities rather than a multi-facility cultural centre as promised, Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said the proposed Kerala House would have a cultural and information centre as well.

But even as the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the controversial facility, a section of the Confederation of Tamil Nadu Malayalee Associations boycotted the function.
